But reaching these remote tribes requires more than passion—it requires vision, planning, and resources. Culture, geography, and the realities of tribal life shape how ministry must be done. This is why the VisionForward Initiative exists: to give us the ability to plan courageously, respond quickly, and invest strategically in the future of the Mangyan people.

With the TMI VisionForward initiative, we are preparing intentional ministry, supporting locally trained pastors, strategically moving us towards our 2030 goal of:​
GOSPEL ADVANCEMENT

Reaching the Unreached
Still hidden in the mountains, including trekking into remote areas, mapping new pathways, and identifying where Mangyan families are living, so we can begin building relationships and prepare for future gospel ministry. Projected Cost: $15,000 for 2 missionary teams led by our TMI Philippines Director (Monthly over 12 months: $1,250)

Expanding Pastoral Training
To train 15-20 emerging pastors each year. This cost includes supporting their families while their spouse attends TMI Training Institute, a stipend for the student while they are in their target areas, and food and lodging while at the Training Institute. Projected Cost: $40,000 for 15-20 students for 1 year of Biblical training (Monthly over 12 months: $3,333) Per Student: $2,400.
WORD AND COMPASSION

A Bible in Every Home
Providing audio, solar-powered Bibles in the heart language of every household in each community where a new church is established. Projected Cost: $15,000 to provide each home in the 15-20 unreached tribal communities with a copy of the audio Bible in their language (Monthly over 12 months: $1,250)

Curriculum Development
Nutrition programs that allow children to attend school and families to thrive. We believe this initiative needs to come from the local, indigenous church. Projected Cost: $25,000 to for 1.2 million servings, on average, .025 per serving. (Monthly over 12 months: $2,083)

Nutirtion Ministry

Continue Mentorship
Continued discipleship and mentorship for all TMI graduates, walking alongside emerging pastors long after their initial training so they remain spiritually healthy, equipped, and supported as they start new churches in remote tribal communities. Projected Cost: $15,000 to continue mentoring our TMI students. (Monthly over 12 months: $1,250)

In-country Staffing needs
Supporting in-country staff and salaries, ensuring our Philippines TMI team can serve faithfully and consistently. This stable support allows them to train emerging pastors, disciple new believers, and lead ministry efforts with confidence and long-term commitment. Projected Cost: $30,000 for our TMI Country Director and our Mindoro Area Directors. (Monthly over 12 months: $2,500)

Development and Growth
Strengthening TMI’s reserve fund to ensure long-term sustainability, allowing the ministry to remain stable, responsive, and prepared for future opportunities and challenges as we serve remote tribal communities. Projected Cost: $100,000
