TRIBE Accountability

As I meet with individuals and churches about TRIBE Mission International, the question of accountability often comes up—and rightly so. When stewarding God’s resources, accountability must always be part of the conversation. Your questions sharpen us, strengthen us, and remind us of the sacred responsibility we carry. This mission is not ours alone; it is God’s work, entrusted to TRIBE Mission International. Because it belongs to Him, we take accountability seriously and welcome every question.

As a growing ministry, we hold ourselves to four clear levels of accountability to steward your partnership with integrity and to faithfully reflect what God is doing.

01

We are accountable first and foremost to God.

He has entrusted us with the holy calling of reaching the unreached people of Mindoro with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We do not take this lightly. I firmly believe that God Himself has opened the doors that allow us to step into remote communities, to build relationships, and to train emerging pastors who will shepherd their own people. Each time we hike into the mountains or sit with a future church leader, we are deeply aware that we are stewarding something sacred—His mission, His people, His Gospel. Our greatest desire is to walk in humility and faithfulness, carrying out the work He has entrusted to us for His glory alone.

We are accountable to the Great Commission Foundation

Because TRIBE is registered as a not-for-profit in Canada, we partner with GCF so that donations can be receipted properly and held to the highest standards. GCF provides strong oversight in three areas:

  • ensuring we remain faithful to our mission and vision,
ensuring donated funds are used effectively and appropriately for the Kingdom, and

  • ensuring we meet all legal and CRA requirements for Canadian charities.

GCF reviews our funding proposals, oversees our financial systems, and requires proper documentation for all expenditures. We are genuinely grateful for the strong accountability they provide—it strengthens our ministry.

We are accountable to our independent Board of Directors.

This team is made up of godly men and women who believe deeply in the mission of TRIBE. Some have walked the Mangyan trails and seen the ministry firsthand, while others bring professional skills that help us grow in effectiveness and stewardship. The Board sets the budget, provides oversight, holds me accountable as Executive Director, and continually calls us to dream big while staying rooted in our mission and vision.

04

We are accountable to our donors and partners in the Gospel.

Every donation, no matter the amount, is received as a gift from God given through you. We are humbled by your trust. Your generosity helps us continue equipping indigenous pastors and expanding the reach of the Gospel among the Mangyan people. By asking good questions, by engaging with us, by caring about how funds are used—you help keep us accountable. And for that, we are truly thankful.
